If you want to go to that next level you must take a long look at the word commitment. Pull it down from its lofty living quarters just over your halo and hold it tight to your chest. You may have to do as I did, move some things aside in your heart to make room for it to fit, but do it, please do it because the pain of leaving commitment outside alone can be too much to bear. You must take a long look at your vows, the ones you’ve given to God, and to His Son, Jesus. Whatever the promptings were that moved you to draw nearer to God and accept Christ and what was done at the cross for you, when God heard your voice He knew the sincerity was real.
In that moment at that level God was enough and so was your level of commitment, but, now you need that next level. You need an out-pouring, but in order for that to take place God needs a vessel. What I have observed is that if you want the next level in God, you must give God the next level of you. What is the next level of you? Sometimes God is long to answer and sometimes He’s very quick.
The next level is a deeper commitment to the vows you made at the first level. No magic, no mysterious chanting, no well practiced verse until you can say it backwards, just a deliberate, purposeful, honest walk with Christ.
Always remembering the words of Rom 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service, and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We must always have respect for what our commitment (vows) has called us to.
